WASHINGTON, DC – ASPIRE PAC congratulates Dr. Amish Shah on his primary victory in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District. He will face Republican David Schweikert in November. ASPIRE PAC Chair Grace Meng released the following statement:
“ASPIRE PAC congratulates Dr. Amish Shah on advancing to the November election. Amish has been an incredibly effective legislator in the Arizona House of Representatives, passing more bills into law than any other Democrat in the State House. Amish has also been a champion for women’s health, as he has fought against Republican attempts to implement an extreme abortion ban and introduced legislation to expand access to birth control. Amish’s dedication to protecting women’s health rights and our democracy stands in stark contrast to the extreme record of David Schweikert. ASPIRE PAC will continue to strongly support Amish’s campaign, and we look forward to him making history as Arizona’s first Indian American representative in Congress.”
