WASHINGTON, DC – ASPIRE PAC congratulates Dave Min on advancing in the top two primary for California’s 47th Congressional District. The 47th has the 2nd largest AANHPI community of any House battleground district at 21.9%. ASPIRE PAC Chair Grace Meng released the following statement:
“ASPIRE PAC congratulates Dave Min on advancing to the November general election. As California’s only Korean-American in the state legislature, he has been a tremendous advocate for the more than 80% of 47th District residents he already represents within his State Senate District. Dave has proven himself as an effective leader on combatting anti-Asian hate, standing up for gun safety, and protecting a woman’s right to choose. We must elect leaders who embody the districts they represent, and Dave can be trusted to be a voice for all the AANHPI and hard-working families in the 47th District. Dave is the best person to help Democrats hold this seat, and I look forward to working with our Democratic coalition to help push him toward victory in November.”
Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders Rising & Empowering Political Action Committee (ASPIRE PAC) is the political arm of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Members of Congress. In addition, in 2020 the AAPI community increased its voter turnout more than any other community of color. There are currently 21 AAPI Members of Congress, including two U.S. Senators, and two new Members of Congress – Shri Thanedar (MI-13) and Jill Tokuda (HI-02).
