WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders Rising & Empowering Political Action Committee (ASPIRE PAC) today announced the endorsement of Dr. Richard Pan for California’s sixth congressional district. Dr. Pan will face Republican-turned-Independent Kevin Kiley in November.
ASPIRE PAC Chair Marilyn Strickland issued the following statement:
“Dr. Richard Pan has devoted his life to caring for families—both as a physician and as a public servant committed to protecting the health and well-being of Californians. In the State Legislature, he championed legislation to expand access to health care for millions and ensure children are safe from preventable diseases in schools.
“Meanwhile, his opponent, Kevin Kiley, voted to kick 14 million Americans off their health care and take food away from hungry children who depend on SNAP. Californians deserve better. It’s time to call a doctor who will put people first, and ASPIRE is proud to endorse Dr. Richard Pan to flip this seat and bring new leadership to Washington.”
