WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders Rising & Empowering Political Action Committee (ASPIRE PAC) today announced the endorsement of Connie Chan for California’s 11th Congressional District following Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s retirement.
Connie currently represents District 1 on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, which includes the Inner Richmond, Central Richmond, Outer Richmond, Lone Mountain, Golden Gate Park, Lincoln Park, University of San Francisco, Sea Cliff, and Presidio Terrace neighborhoods.
ASPIRE PAC Chair Marilyn Strickland issued the following statement:
“San Francisco deserves its first Asian American member of Congress, one who has a proven track record of delivering results. ASPIRE PAC proudly endorses Connie Chan to bring her voice and fight to Washington.
“Connie is fighting to keep the American Dream alive for every family—the same dream that brought her family to San Francisco. She has spent her entire career fighting for what matters most to people: affordable housing, helping small businesses thrive, protecting workers’ rights, and supporting families struggling to make ends meet. As a public safety and communications aide liaison to San Francisco’s Chinatown and the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community, she made sure our families were safe and their voices heard.
“Connie Chan’s work ethic, focus, and thoughtful leadership are needed in D.C. ASPIRE PAC is proud to endorse her.”
