WASHINGTON, DC – Today, ASPIRE PAC announced a six-figure investment in get-out-the-vote efforts aimed at Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) voters in Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The investment is through local stakeholders and organizations engaged in culturally competent voter contact events, AANHPI-targeted canvassing, AANHPI-targeted mail, and AANHPI-targeted digital mobilization. The number of eligible AANHPI voters in Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania is greater than President Biden’s margin of victory in those three states during the last presidential election in 2020. ASPIRE PAC Chair Grace Meng released the following statement:
“The AANHPI vote was critical for Democrats in 2020, and it will be the difference maker once again for us in 2024. ASPIRE PAC is making this six-figure GOTV investment as we head into the final week before the election because we need to do everything possible to ensure our community votes by November 5th. ASPIRE PAC’s members have been communicating with the AANHPI community all cycle, letting them know that Democrats stand for them and their values. And through this investment, we will empower messengers from our community with culturally competent literature and materials and ensure it is our AANHPI community who helps elect the first AANHPI and Black woman President in our nation’s history.”
Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders Rising & Empowering Political Action Committee (ASPIRE PAC) is the political arm of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Members of Congress. ASPIRE PAC is committed to supporting candidates of AAPI descent and incumbents who represent large communities of AAPI voters. According to the 2020 census, the AAPI community is the fastest-growing demographic in the country. In addition, in 2020 the AAPI community increased its voter turnout more than any other community of color. There are currently 21 AAPI Members of Congress, including two U.S. Senators, and two new Members of Congress – Shri Thanedar (MI-13) and Jill Tokuda (HI-02).
