WASHINGTON, DC – ASPIRE PAC congratulates Evan Low on advancing in the top two primary for California’s 16th Congressional District. The 16th District has one of the largest AANHPI communities of any congressional district in the country at 23.5%. ASPIRE PAC Chair Grace Meng released the following statement:
“ASPIRE PAC congratulates Evan Low on advancing to the November election. Despite a dark money group’s efforts to play politics and game the results, it was always clear that Evan Low is the progressive champion this district needs. Evan has a track record of combatting anti-Asian hate, protecting a woman’s right to choose, and leading the fight for marriage equality and protecting civil rights. California’s 16th district has one of the largest AANHPI communities of any district in the country, and now they’ll have the chance to elect their first AANHPI congressional representative. ASPIRE PAC will continue strongly supporting Evan and ensuring our community’s voice is heard.”
