NJ Senate
Andy Kim is the son of Korean immigrants — born and raised in America, the product of New Jersey public schools, a public servant, husband, and proud dad to two little boys.
When his parents came to America 50 years ago, they didn’t know a single person in this entire country. They came here because they wanted to seek a better life for themselves and for their family.
His parents chose to raise him and his sister in New Jersey because they believed the top-notch public school system would give them the best opportunities to succeed. He did all of K-12 right in New Jersey, and that education helped him become a Rhodes Scholar and a leading national security expert – working at the Pentagon and in Afghanistan as a civilian advisor to the military.
Elected in 2018 to represent South Jersey, Andy has dedicated his life to serving the country. He worked as a career public servant under both Democrats and Republicans, having served at USAID, the Pentagon, the State Department, the White House National Security Council, and in Afghanistan as an advisor to Generals Petraeus and Allen.
In the House of Representatives, Andy is working on an agenda to bring this country together and strengthen its national and economic security. He supports strong measures that boost our economy by investing in small businesses and innovation, creating fairness and opportunities for working families, and honoring America’s promises to military families and veterans.
Andy is running for U.S. Senate to restore integrity and represent the people of New Jersey with the compassion and trust we all deserve.
