ASPIRE PAC Statement on Jill Tokuda’s Election to Congress

WASHINGTON, DC – ASPIRE PAC Chair Grace Meng issued the following statement after Jill Tokuda’s election to serve Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District:

“Congresswoman-elect Jill Tokuda has proven she can be trusted to deliver the resources and investments the people of Hawaii need to thrive. During her decade-plus serving in Hawaii’s State Senate, she never stopped advocating for her constituents and I know she’ll bring that same drive and dedication to Washington. I’m thrilled to serve alongside her in Congress and I welcome her resolve as we fight for women’s reproductive freedom, gun safety, and an economy that works for everyone.” 

Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders Rising & Empowering Political Action Committee (ASPIRE PAC) is the political arm of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Members of Congress. ASPIRE PAC is committed to supporting candidates of AAPI descent and incumbents who represent large communities of AAPI voters. According to the 2020 census, the AAPI community is the fastest-growing demographic in the country. In addition, in 2020 the AAPI community increased its voter turnout more than any other community of color. ASPIRE PAC is chaired by Congresswoman Grace Meng.
